Real Estate debuts an immersive, first-of-its-kind music video for its single "Stained Glass". Directed by Craig Allen, the experience allows you to color+share your own animated kaleidoscope-like video, something unique and experimental that the band could create with their fans not just for them.

The Ask

Real Estate approached MediaMonks to create an immersive, first-of-its-kind music video
for their single "Stained Glass." Directed by Craig Allen, the experience allows
you to color and share your own animated kaleidoscope-like video,
something unique and experimental that the band could
create together with their fans.
 

The Insights

It is not about being in absolute control of the colors. Often times when
we color in the physical space, we have a set of pens, crayons,
or colors at our disposal. It doesn't make it less enjoyable. 

Most users don't have the knowledge of how to combine colors, and
In a fast moving environment, having full control will affect
the end result negatively and create cumbersome interactions.
 

The Approach

Simply hover over the colors and click the one you want to use. Choose between a
variety of color schemes that blend well together, or go for the instantly
gratifying experience with the random coloring tool.
